Vin number ID help

[IMG][/IMG]I picked up a 1978 or 79 XS 1100 parts bike with no papers today.
I need some help identifying the vin number which is
2H7-003375.

Then I take it that it is a 1978 model.

The engine is free, the shifter is broken off inside the case.
No keys, No papers.

I will be parting it out soon, unless someone wants a whole bike on the cheap.

Try and have a local LEO friend run the vin. If it's NOT stolen, it should not take much to get a title. In the shape it's in, it would be a same to part it out...

Titles.

I can sell the bike with a bill of sale here in Ct seeing that it is 37 years old.

I have a lot of bikes and I need the room for my real nice Yamaha's and BMW sidecars

Here in Georgia, I don't need a LEO friend. The sheriff's deputy will do it upon request. I just go to the DMV and pick up the form for the deputy to fill out. An XS1100 doesn't require a title here. Perhaps Connecticut would do something similar?

To take the ignition off, remove the headlight bucket from the mounts, and use a 1/4" drive 6" extension and 10mm socket to remove the two bolts underneath that are holding the ignition in place. Takes about 3 minutes once you know what to do.
