Well, that now bid of $650 is just a 'bump' over of HALF what a replacement set was new back in the day.

Special Exhaust eBay
This could be setting a new precedence on original exhaust values?

Supply & Demand
It is truly a sellers market when it comes to OE exhaust systems for our bikes. A little over a year ago a set sold for more than $1100 on ebay. If you look in the current listings there is a set going for $300 and only one side is good. It's sad to think that the most valuable oe parts on an XS11 are the exhaust, seats and side covers.Comment

Someone decided
that spending their money on them was worth the value.
Most of the sets I've seen go through E-Bay have been beaten and rusty, those were relatively clean and it looked like he put some time into polishing them judging the look of the head pipes and how bright the mufflers were.
Would I have paid that much?
I suppose if I wanted the original look with a relatively decent used exhaust system I would have stomped it with a bid guaranteed to make sure I had the winning bid, price be damned.79 SF & 80 LG MNS

The value of my bike
If I sold my bike I probably wouldn't get out of it what I have in it.
The only way I can get out of it what I have in it....is to enjoy it that much!-Mike
