Looking forward to it Ray. Aside from the great BBQ, best part is I didn't have to 'beat-up' on the Venturer gettin' here to meet some more XSessives. Now if had been on the STeed, its got 'longer legs' than my backside could of stood anyways .

Oh, I'm sure of that! With only throwing a leg over both bikes some 1600mi. TOTAL this year, that 1800+mi. just gettin' there would be an adventure in itself......never mind the monkey-butt!........Yea, I know, need to get back into the LD riding that I used to do just a few yrs. back .

Brent (btw note he has rebuilt the motor on ol' red so it should be good for ANOTHER 250,000 miles.
Its back on the road with mucho power)
riding the Red Oak Covered Bridge

I don't think it's fair to call US129 at Deals Gap overrated. Tell me where you can find a more technical road that goes on for so many miles like that. Overrated? No. It does get busy and there seems to be no shortage of fools crossing the center line or driving off the road. I'll give you that. By time we go through there on Sept 27, most of the crowd will have moved on. The Dragon can take your life if you don't respect it!

My Pine Mountain ride ended up at just about 320 miles yesterday. I had forgotten about some of the great rides in that area. It was good to go back and even better to shake hands with another forum member.
