It's now on the road and it's legal. Never ending things to do to it but very close to perfect now mechanically. Would like some different pipes.

That's the same exhaust/muffler that Bob put on the Limie bike.

It's weird riding as I have to rev it to take off in 1st. No low end. No miss or anything all the way towards reline, just no low end. Ideas? Pipes maybe? My other one had the Jardine 4 into 2 crisscross system I liked those but this one sounds good.

This one a junk bike pretty much when I started. It's getting there as it's only been 2 weeks and rode it the first time today.

Are you sure the vacuum advance is hooked up? Good looking bike.

You are right, the vacuum advance would not hold a vacuum. Replaced it with a used spare and it made all the difference in the world. Rode it 25 miles yesterday.

Now for the bad. Add me to the rare list on here of the starter clutch going out. If I have to split the cases I guess it would be a good time to do a 2nd gear mod even though it stays in gear to near redline. The bike came with a kick starter bolted on it. I thought it was because of the guts missing in the start switch button housing.

The starter clutch may clear up with use.. cleaning up any crud from sitting, but yeah, if it isn't skipping, I'd just move the washer on 2nd if you go in. I'm not a fan of grinding on gears that are working.

MikesXS has the starter clutch rebuild kits for about as cheap as anyone.
