Congrats Ed. Ray, sounds like you really have done something good.
Breakin - Opinions vary and results show up way down the road. I like petroleum based oil for break in. A properly seasoned cast iron frying pan works better and lasts longer - bike engine too.
Even a Harley can go over 200,000 miles if Manufacturers break in proceedures are followed. Warm up engine before beginning each ride helps too. Remember to do full throttle acceleration to red line at end of breakin (to thoroughly seat rings.)
