    snow tires

Every time I ride in the snow, I get a heavy vibration from the wheels. I figured it out after looking at your pictures. No vibration after removing the snow build up from the wheels. I hate winter !!!!!! Just joking, REALLY

I thought about going with something that stood out more like that but there's this part of me that just couldn't bring another red or black or blue motorcycle into this world (not that the ones already here don't look good ). Figured I'd make it gleam instead. The overall look would be tied together a lot more, I think, if the frame was powder coated a lighter gray.

                Everyone has their own idea

DOwn5hift I know your bike will look great I myself do not the nerve to change my XS which I have had for the past 34 yrs. When I first saw it I really liked and still do the grey&silver thinking like you everyone has a black red or blue bike 33years later I still feel the same way when I seen the Harley I thought everyone has a Black one WRONG it seemed every time I turned around there was a white one.

Hey Newbee--What is the type/make of cafe fairing on the grey 81H? Looks really cool-- does it keep the wind at bay?

                      Fairing name(MarkD)

MarkD the fairing was or is called a Voodoo it is a great little fairing I put it on the bike just after buying the bike back in 1980 with the way the wind shield turns up it puts the wind up over you.It cames in black only I finally colour matched it to the darker gray of the bike about three years ago.I have no idea if it is still made. Also the bike is a 1980g with a 1981 special motor blew the original in 1985 at 100,000 mi it was cheaper to put in the 81 special plus it only had 5,000mi on it now there is 90,000mi on it.

My mistake on your bike being a G, sorry. That Voodoo fairing is cool-- I will research and maybe look for one. I currently have a Hellfire windshield, but have had to raise it up about 6 inches in order to get the wind over my head. It is bad when the turbulence hits your face from a too short shield. Thanks for the reply.
