    I found this in Virginia, I can't wait to get working on it. I'm going to chop it and bob it. Hard tail baby!! Do I really need to keep shocks on it? I'm thinking about line xing the whole thing. Get rid of that ugly gold stuff on the trim and wheels. I don't like that stock exhaust sound so I'm thinking about just cutting the mufflers off and going straight pipes. If I do the exhaust thing it will be faster right? Will I need to do anything with the jet thingys??? That seat has to go. Where can I find a hardly solo seat and a sportster fender for the back? What kind of oil should I use? I like fat tires. How about you guys? What kind do you like?










    I see a nice "f" model for sale this spring to cover the cost of this one.

      Nice find indeed. Yeah keep wacking with a BFH too.

        Doesn't matter, once he cuts or bashes that fugly exhaust off only then it'll run gooder

          I personally think the Specials are more comfortable than Standards and the MNS is a good lookin' scoot. I don't believe it will make you look any better though Potter........maybe a little.

          Send me all the parts you remove to make it worth more money. Take enough stuff off and ugly it up really good and it'll be worth 3 times what you paid.

            I was going to line x it but now since you said ugly it up, I think I'll paint it green.

                Yeah, some sort of green would work as long as it is bright enough. Balance that off with some pointy little LED signals and an iron cross pattern tail light. Drill a hole in each crash bar so you can insert the rear footpegs there for some low-budget highway pegs.

                          That tank is screamin out to have the sides bashed in for your knees to slot in better.

                          And don't forget the aluminium chequer plate side covers to replace them plastic things

                            As long as you're hackin' away at it ...

                            Might as well get rid of that whole exhaust system, headers and all. It's hideous, and doesn't fit the bike at all.

                            In the interest of environmental safety, I'll be glad to take it off your hands and dispose of it properly...

                              It seems a shame to take a grinder to a bike like that.
                              XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs.
