If you want a car-based trike, that is.
What I like is the way it's registered as a 550 Kawi, that's pure genius.
And it looks good. I've seen car/trike hybrids in parades and such that were true gas axe specials while this one looks factory.

I really should have been clearer in stating my opinion; while I do appreciate the engineering skill it took to build something like this (skills I will never have), it is just not something I would ever want or own.

Hideous? certainly, worth 6 grand? certainly not, I'm with you there. Junk? not if he has travelled as far as he claims, utilitarian would be a better description.

This thing has clearly given this bloke fantastic fun, he's been a long way on it and owned it a fair few years.

I built this trike 12 years ago and have driven it all over America.

He may have health issues making riding a bike two wheeler impossible, ex forces perhaps? a lot of our lads are coming home minus limbs. Over here we have NABD, a charity who contribute toward the cost of building trikes like this.

How many times have modern bike owners asked us XS11 riders.... "why dya ride that old thing?" .....Kinda puts us in the same league as this guy doesn't it.

The Behemoth

That big beast is in a motorcycle museum in Anamosa Iowa.
I happened by there last summer and yes it is as big as it looks!
There are misc. other legendary bikes there,
Kenny Roberts tracker Jay Springsteens miler The Honda "sidewinder"
Elmer Trett's fueler boardtrack racers ect.
It was worth the entry fee to see them all

Yeah, I've seen the Road Dog before, and it is ugly, but it's ugly in a COOL way (whatever that means).

And let's just say the "Kawachevy" is ugly in a NOT-SO-COOL way ...
