I totally agree! The roads around here ar really bumpy and I've found that while the mount does stay fairly stable, it does tend to rock back and forth over the bumps.
I'm playing around with the idea of trying a pacifico fairng mount to see if 'stabilizes' things a bit. (maybe just use the upper mount in conjunction with my vettery mount so that the top bolts into the steering neck holes)

They also have another mount that attaches to it to help stabilize the fairing.

Still a thoery in progress, no actual parts bought yet.
