  • Lets say I found a full vetter set for cheap..

But, its off of a Kawi 1300....

Fairing has an empty radio slot, with an antenna mounted next to it
    Matching saddlebags, and matching trunk.

I know the trunk is universal, and I would love to have it.
The saddlebags have their mounts, but looking on the forum shows a little metal work, and they'll mount onto my Xs.
Looking at the fairing mount, its nowhere close to the XS, So I'd either have to fab one up, or find a mount online..

My bike is a dark blue, the Vetter kit is black...I think it would look pretty cool.

    Anything I need to know?

Cool. There are a few different WJ styles (III, V) whichever kind you got, they will all fit. (they have the same mounting hole locations)
Did you get the pigtail wiring harness that came off the Kawi?
It'll be a 9 pin (or 6 pin for the WJ3) plug that plugs into the left inside side of the fairing and has many loose wires on the other end to be plugged into your bike.
If so, you can make this work, otherwise, start searching for a WJ harness.

Now you will need the Vetter fairing bracket for the XS1100.
    Not the Pacifico bracket.
Here's what the Vetter one looks like:

And a link to the UK Parts Look up site:
    http://www.benefiscal.co.uk/partinfo...CC-11140-32-02
The 81's had a little bit of extra mounting locations for horns or the oil cooler I think:

    Here's a steal for a NOS on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-XS110...tr#ht_45wt_965

The Pacifico may fit with some slight modification to the mounting hole locations, but I'm not sure on this and others here may chime in on that.

Here's what the Pacifico ones look like:

Amazing find on that NOS mount!

Really appreciate it! I purchased it.

The one I was gonna buy was more expensive, and it was used. So really amazing find on that!

I dunno about the wiring harness, as I haven't gone to get the fairing.
I know I'll be getting a fairing, so I know the mount is the hard part to find. So I bought it.

I think this set shall work nicely though for sure. I bet I'll go get it this afternoon or this weekend.

Looks like they should clean up nicely.
That's a WJ 5 (IV). I like the vents, wish I had some in mine, but then again it doesn't get as hot here in VA as it does down there.

See if you can get the key for that locking right side, if not, you can turn it with a large screwdriver to get it open and replaced with lock from Home Depot ($3)
If that left side pocket cover is what I think it is, you'll like the pocket in a pocket.

I'll look in my shed to see if I have an extra harness, just in case.

Aircraft window vents are much cheaper (and basically the same) than the actual Vetter vents.

Yup, I think the ones for the 5 are the hardest to find. Go to Vetters website and he lists the lowers and the types that fit which.

About Vetter fairings: Vetter Corporation made Windjammer and Vindicator fairings. In addition, the company made fairings for Kawasaki which were essentially Vindicator fairings. All these fairings accept the same windshield, the same lowers and will fit on any Vetter hardware.
All Windjammer/ Vindicator/ Kawasaki fairings were the essentially same... only the hardware was different for different bikes

So, the lowers are all universal

Nevermind, as I scrolled down, I found the lowers section

IIRC, the Vetter IV had a flat section above headlight that was straight going across lower section of shield, and it DID use a bit different lowers as mounting holes and curve were different.. 52 series lowers and several others will fit that Windjammer fairing, just some were cut back more to clear cyl. fins than others on smaller cc bikes.

Well, even though I told the guy I'd go get Em, I think he sold Em out from under me.

At least I will have the mount.

The front fairing is the main thing I want.

Mount came today. Along with the instructions.

It's funny how it's held on by two bolts, and two hose clamps... What a silly system.
