Remember that the '78 was the world's first 11-second-in-the-quarter production bike, so it is a milestone bike....
That it got overshadowed by the CBX and GS1000 later can't take away from that, and it is arguably a better overall bike than either. Yamaha squandering it's legacy by detuning the later models didn't help either...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two
