yeah, the PO said he thought the fairing was ugly, and put the rectangle headlight on when he removed it. It is a Pacifico, that is who made the Shadow Royale I learned last night with some help from Google. If you could figure out how to mount it, that would be awesome. It is scratched up from being stored poorly and moved around and having stuff stacked on it etc etc, but the plexi glass isnt too bad.

the Bike came with 2 extra tanks, but both are special tanks, and one at least is coated with that white crap, and not a very good job of it. I didnt look in the other.

I will be the 4th owner. The first three are all in the same family. PO did a pretty good job maintaining it...but still needs some things. I feel like I can get on it and ride it anywhere now, anything I do will be to improve the tune and therefore MPGs.

I am planning on riding it to Nebraska this Friday evening...and I can go pick it up anytime. I just have not figured out my plan where I will leave my truck/Bike when I am not using them. I can store either at my work, but cant get in there as freely as I would like. So thinking of renting a self storage garage.

You're in Grand Junction? I went to MT Garfield before moving out to Fruita. Know that area well also.

Here's my 80SG with a National Cycle Plexifairing III. Did the Colorado Rally, 1025 mile in a short 3 days hauling my 6'11" butt around and protecting me from wind, rain/hail over Wolf Creek pass and overall it is as good as any full fairing in my opinion. Allows an easy opening of the faceshield to let air in on the HOT days, and keeps the elements at bay with the lower extensions. With a proper carb sync, there isn't a smoother in-line 4 cylinder engine for highway running that I have ever owned (Bandit 1200S, ZRX1200, Nighthawk 550).

I have done the FD swap, so I'm turning lower RPM than stock as well, but on the average I'm not gonna get more than 37 mpg. Running the high altitude in the mountains at lower speeds bumps mpg up into the 40's (like the Colorado Rally) but not for interstate running at 75-80 mph. 37 mpg is the number I count on for not getting my butt stuck somewhere because I was hoping for 40 mpg!

Thanks, it is a clean bike for sure. My wife's uncle took the picture with a decent camera, otherwise it's just a picture of the bike sitting in my in-laws driveway.

It runs about as good as it looks too, really happy with it.

Ya know Ben, I'm just enough of a lush that if I was drinkin' and that's all there was I probably couldn't get enough. Can't say for sure though because I've never had one.

That really is a super nice bike. I will look up that windshield. Looks nice and about what I need if I don't get a normal fairing on soon...so far I had to bring the bike with me back to Nebraska, and have not ridden it since I bought it. It's 34 here right now, and I might get an inch of snow overnight.

This is why I'm moving to OK....
