Is anyone else thinking we should have a sticky for stickies. One sticky on the top of each page to direct users to the sticky section. Another site I visit uses this method and it seems very effective. I think maybe we could move all the stickies except for one on the top of each page to it's own page. That way we do not have to scroll down past 6 stickies to get to what we want to see. Maybe it is just me, but that sorta sucks wind.
Maybe a Mod will do a poll and see what the members would prefer. As a member I read all the stickies and would rather only see the new posts to one. If non-members do not join in the fun then that is their problem.
On another note I would suggest that part of the registration process would require the signature to be filled out so that we all know what bike a person is working on. If one has many bikes then that could be an option as well.
Mostly just thinking out loud here but Damn I am getting tired of the "Please post your model and year" posts. The other thing is that if anyone is serious about enjoying this site they will happily fill out a request for year and model before joining.
Dunno why so many that would like help will not give info. Watch at your local NAPA for an hour and see how many guys come in and say I need a starter for a 350 Chev and then get pissy when the guy asks for year and model. They will say "Well it is a 350 Chevy" as if every 350 was the same.
Point is that if it was a matter of registration then no one would complain. Do not know if it is even possible but I personally would love to see it happen.
