XS11Lover, I would like to see one of your bikes go through the process of your changes, with a how to. I think you do a great job of customizing it yet keeping the function and base bike intact. while most of yours look very similar, there are subtle changes. Especially like to see a step by step on how you shorten the rear fender and get your seat installed.

Here is the newest version of my bike. I have been away from the site for a while and I thought this thread would be a good place to post some pics. Now, this is not really a bobber, but it is different enough with still being practical (atleast in my mind). Let me know what you think! Oh and it is usually not nearly as dirty as this haha.

Nortons are so cool. That would be a good look for an xs if you could plan how to make that up swept rear. It does seem to be the look of that sr cafe.
Paulpalooza, nice work. The XJ tank is a nice touch. I tried to use one but it didn't look right on the bike I was doing....but it looked great from the rear. The seat looks good...now a blacked out motor would set it off....

I think you could pretty easily make the upswept rear on the XS. The shock placement is nearly the same as the Norton, so all you would have to do is modify the subframe out the back, and make/ find a bumstop seat that was similar. The lines are otherwise pretty close to the XS11 standard, even through the center. Upswept peashooters and you'd have it licked. It wouldn't change geometry, handling, or even the shaft drive.

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. That's cool! IMO, the gauges are too high, the back end of the tank too low, and the forks too long. Inverted front forks, and a flat digital gauge would would make that bike nigh on perfect! That tail is pure sex!Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

I don't like Comstars, either...Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die
