    Saw A very nice full dress XS11 Special near the SB airport today. Anybody from here? It had Michigan tags

        Thanks.....I'm not into loud so I bought aftermarket mufflers that sound decent. It is a good running bike and I've been working to make it the way I like it.

          I didn't look to see if you were running stock headers with a aftermarket muffler. That spot where I came across you isn't a good place to be rubber necking.

            I cut the old, rusty mufflers off, welded a short piece of 1 1/2" pipe on the end, and clamped a pair of these mufflers I picked up off Ebay. They get the exhaust back behind the bags. If there's any loss in power, I can't tell. Still get 40-42 MPG depending on the twist factor.
