I have a real problem.I`am trying to finish pulling a engine out,but the bolts{2} are frozen in place.Tryed spraying with lube and tapping them useing a length of wood and a hammer, still no luck. The bolts pass from one side of frame through the engine and exist the other side.Any ideas, suggestions? Thanks

Seized Bolts
Heat, more heat, patience. Try turning as though you were tightening them a bit. If available try hitting it with an impact gun. Quite often the hammering effect will break seized bolts loose.
If all else fails break them and replace with new.

Also, you need to focus on getting the nut loose rather than the head of the bolt. This can make a real difference. DAMHIKIJD

weight
The motors weight causes a lot of the binding but once the nut is off your ok, an impact driver on the nut and a wrench locked in place on the opposite side of the bolt will take your nut off.....then get a long punch a bit smaller than the bolt in diameter and a machinist hammer, being careful not to damage any threads gently at first drive the bolt thru......watch those threads.

Re: weight
Thanks for the responses.I need all the help I can get.Managed to get one nut off,the other is still work in progress, wants to spin but hard to get right sized wrench on it to hold, can get a socket on the othersideThink jacking up the engine would take off some of the stress? Both bolts look like they are load bearing.Sprayed some pb blaster on it,going to let it soak some more and get ready for a snow. Thanks for the adviceOriginally posted by desert1

Well I got one bolt out and can now move the engine up and down from the rear. The other one at the front I can turn a little though it is still pretty tight.I wonder if the engine is causing the bolt to bind.Well I sprayed it some more and will tackle it tomorrow.Any ideas? Thanks
