    I want.....

I really wish you hadnt have showed me that! Now i want a turbo for my bike. If i had the money that bike would be in my shop ASAP. This would be so awesome to have and just blow away all the new croch rockets you see running around town.

This is at least the third time that bike has been listed, with the price going down each time (although I expect the reserve is still too high). The seller listed some parts for sale here (badly overpriced) and had very little luck...

You aren't going to blow away any crotch rockets, with or without turbo. Unless it is a 250CC or so.

Cool bike, way cool. The top of my list of cool.

I wouldn't bet on that thing coming close to trashing any 1000cc plus sport bikes. 430lbs/185+HP and 14k+RPM Would have little trouble trashing a bike with less HP and a lot more lbs. I would pit it against a stock 600, but even a lightly massaged 600 would drop one of those 11's. Maybe not immediately off the line, but shortly thereafter, and certainly in the twisties.

New sport bikes can't beat it in awesome, though. And I maintain that even as ridiculous as a turbo 11 is, it'd still be a more rideable bike than any new sport bike. But it definitely wins on cool. By a long shot.

I saw an article not long ago of the stock xs11 going 10.9 in the quarter. Then yesterday i saw i think it was the sv1000 naked r suzuki only went 11.9 or something like that. I thought that was pretty good for a 79 bike against a new sport type bike.

stock 11 pedaling a high 10..........never happen, not even with the new shortened quarter regulations of 1000ft.

As I recall the number was in the mid high 11's, and that was the 78 ONLY, all the others were slower. The drive train is stout enough to take more power, but you need forced induction to get there. Now if they would have had the special in 78 it would have been a little faster because of the gear ratio with the smaller rear wheel.
