I wouldn't go into a corner too hot. You'll be grinding metal off the frame.

            Grindin' Parts

Yeah, grinding parts is fun (as long as you stay in control). jjz28: southern 1/3 of US219 is great for grinding at will. continual left's and right's. Fun to make a game of out of how many grinds in a row you can get.

PO said a 1100 Virago, didn't know what year I would guess an early 1100. If really needed I could see about a part# off the shocks

Dam, I have to replace my sidstand with a long bolt twice so far and the bottom of the muffler to pipe clamp on the right. Sparks at night are so much fun with a group. Everyone has a comment....

Bike looks good and it's a little safer having control turning around have seen more than a few people on tip toes loose a bike in a parking lot. As for the grinders don't try it. May be cool but hit the right bump in a lean and hang a peg and the fun is over.
To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

                            Great Idea!

SWMBO has trouble hiking her leg over Skoot's "Queen Seat." An inch lower would help her a lot! As for foot peg draggin', I recently celebrated 52 years of riding. I attribute my many years of pleasure to not taking unnecessary risk. Skoot is getting a top end organ transplant form a hopped up xs11 whose owner got drunk one night and challenged some rice rocket to a game of "chicken." I know, this is an extreme example, but do you really want to ride "on the edge" on the "street?" If you want to test the limits of your skill, and your bikes potential, please, please, go to your closest race track and rent time to play. My big thrill is legitimately going from 25MPH to 70 MPH when entering a freeway. "Wahhoooooo!" and even a stock XS11 does it so well!
Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
                            I've been riding since 1959.

With a 29 inch inseam that inch shorter shocks is nice. If grinding was what I was after I'd still have the fj1100 I traded. Pegged a. Xs650 years ago. Skipped about 3 feet and had to through out my shorts. Don't see her grinding soon
