What have you got to loose.... you get a puncture at 80mph with NOTHING in your tyre and it goes flat... You get a puncture at 80mph with GREEN SLIME in your tyre it either stays up or goes flat... 50/50 chance of it being better than nothing, and you're never gonna trust it until you've tried it for yourself.

I'll be happy to try it, if i can find it over here. In saying that, I've never had a puncture on a road bike.

Yeah, it can be tough finding something not sold locally. I used to be big into water cooling my computer for both faster speed and silence, because the computer had no on-board fan to cool the processor (Silence because I am a musician and can't have any background noise when recording into the computer). The best cooling block for this was invented and made by "Cathar" who was from Australia. I was one of the lucky few outside AU who had one made for me. Rarer than Hens Teeth even in AU. Still have it!

If you contact Ride-On via email they may tell you of a distributor near you?

And... I had just put on a Dunlop 404 on my XJ650 two years ago. After a ride a week later I parked the bike only to come out to a flat front tire, flatter than a pancake. Turns out there was a stud in the tire. I pulled it out, plugged the hole and it was good to go. I was lucky this happened where I had the tools to fix it & pump it up. Never know when a flat will happen...

Many moons ago I was riding one of my CB750s to work and got almost there when I noticed the front tire was going down. I rode it out at low speed to make it to work, but at the end of the day the tire was flat.

It just so happened to be the day a friend of mine was picking me up to head to the airport for a weekend trip, had no time to get the bike home or fix the tire. Luckily the place I worked had a storage room that was pretty open and seldom used so they let me store the bike in there over the weekend.

Point being, you never know when it will happen and Mr. Murphy will always dictate it happens at the worst possible time. From that aspect, I like the idea of the product. My only concern is that the high moisture content will cause premature tire deterioration, or corrosion of the valve stem to where it leaks badly, something of that nature. Not sure how long this has been around and in use, I like to give products a 5-10 yr trial period before I use them. Most inferior products will either go away completely or at leat be know for thier issues by that time.

yea,I guess your right,I don't want to have a puncture at 80 I can't recall ever having a flat. Hey put some in and run over a bunch of nails and let me know how it goes,then maybe i'll buy it. I saw it in action and it does look like some good stuff.Would assume it would be great for long rides,just find it to be unproven on cause and effect on wheels and tire breakdown.Anybody know how long it's been on the market?

Well... here you go folks, some one who has actually used it. (ME) I use to work on the construction side of life before I started polishing a chair and truck seat with my a$$... I use to ride bikes to work @ the job sites. and always picked up stuff in the tires. I have used this Ride-On product. It does work very well. My only complaint is that when the bike sits for a period of time it will all settle to the bottom and cause your tire to feel a little out of balanced for the first 10 miles or so. I quit using it some time ago as it just got too damn expensive in the Rockets. When your putting tires on a bike every summer and then got to buy this stuff on top of that it just get to be too much. Now that I have just Old Man and Izzy I may buy some again as these tire last alot longer. But we'll see.

It has been a long time since I've gotten a flat on a bike (knock on wood) I carry a 12v compressor and motorcycle puncture seal with me on longer trips for just in case. I'm going to throw the little plug kit in the trunk of Old Man for my trip in June for emergency purposes.

I guess it also depends on how often you go through tires. If it even it it gals the shelf life of a tire (using that magical 6 year number) most would be ready (if not already done) to replace the front and possibly a couple rears in between by then anyways so it would be moot anyways.

And I highly doubt it would half a tire life. At $15 bucks for the needed 8oz that is cheaper than a mount and balance. I will most likely try this once I mount tires to my new rims.

It even says on their website that it will feel a little wobbly for 2-10th miles at first or after prolonged sitting.

I might look at this stuff rather than the Dynabeads... a twofer is always good!

Any 'wobble' would be unfelt here by the time I manuever the 3/4 mile off-road course that passes for my driveway....

I ride a thirty year old bike cause I am waiting to see how well the new stuff performs. Nuff said. Really though, there is such a thing as being on the "bleeding edge" of technology versus the "Leading edge".

Well, I've put the product in the "commute bike". I have about 3K since the tires went on, and I like it. I CAN feel a SLIGHT difference between a GOOD balance and the Ride-On, but that's just the first few miles. My commute now is only about 12 miles, mostly speedway.
I have not had to use the second part of the product, and I hope I do NOT need it. The peace of mind is worth the money I needed for the BMW. It takes three tubes for front and rear! I know I'll use it when I change tires on the MNS, as it has worked very well for me.

Lucky you. That said, I've never had one happen that went down while riding, but I've had punctures on more than one tire. Just had to plug a tire, would have just directly ordered a new one except I have about 1k miles left on the tire so I'll run it out with the plug at reduced speeds (I'm not a speed demon anyways) and then replace the tire.
