  • My Dog's love spring break

My Kid's have been @ Grandma's all week for spring break. The Dog's were a little sketched out the first couple day's because their Kid's were gone... Tonight they have discovered they don't have to go to bed @ 9 with the kids, they can sleep where ever they want in the house.

            Here we go again...

Oh no! Doberman AND pit bull? OMG!!! Those are terrible man-killing dogs and must be put down IMMEDIATELY!! Best dog, hands down, that I have ever owned was a pit. He's been gone over 20 years and I still miss him.

Now, since you like to gripe about spelling and punctuation, just because something is plural, (More than one) it doesn't mean it needs an apostrophe (') which shows ownership, or just missing letters.

"The dog's are on the couch." Wrong.

"That has become the dog's couch." Correct.

If the one couch has become BOTH of their couch, then a plural form of something that ends with an "S" just gets the apostrophe.

"The couch has become the dogs' couch"

Next class 101: Proper use of "Where", "Were", "We're"

            Class 102: "Their", "They're", "There".

Class 103: "Two", "Too", "To", "2".

Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

How did I get linked with the spelling Nazi's I'm usually the one telling them to get a life...

Any who... Ya they are both terrifying! The doberman is my alarm... She just barks @ something until I I investigate and the tell her to be quiet. The pit is a big baby. She loves kids. and the smaller the better, I don't know what her deal is but she has never met a babies face she didn't want to lick the face off of.

May attribute that to the name. One of my sons has a tan/white pit bull with same name and I'm pretty positive she doesn't know she is a pit bull. Gets exited and licks you to death in between 3ft. leaps off the ground. Was even atacked by another breed and she just stood there with this puzzeled look.

                      Pit bull?

Best dog I ever had was a pit, 89 lbs, long legged, brindle color and there was absolutely nothing you could do to make her bite you or anyone else except put your hands on my wife. All the neighborhood kids just loved her. Another dog attacked her once and she just looked at me like, "Well, you gonna save me or what?". The pit bull or "American Staffordshire Terrior" is the one in the old comedy series "Our Gang" with Alphalfa, Spikey, and the Pit Bull with the ring around his eye and they were commonly referred to as the "Nanny dog". Now stupid people treat them mean to make them mean and give them a bad name.

It is really unfortunate how true that is... Dogs are bred with an instinct to be loving protective. Its the owners who have decided to treat them poorly that have made a few of them so mean. The next city over even has an ordinance that says the cops can shoot a pit bull on site, regardless of whether it has done anything. I saw a lady walking her pit the other day, and it was so well-behaved that it sat on the corner until the light changed and licked the owner's face when she smiled at the dog. I wouldn't have expected any better from a lab or a golden. It just shows how predjudiced people can be.

The property next to my house is empty. Some people started bording their horses there last Sept. The first time I met the crazy lady that owns the horses its wasn't pleasant... My dog were out in my field with my son and his friend. My son comes running in and says "dad the horse lady is spraying Bella with the hose and threatening to shoot her!" This is his dog mind you so he's a little wounded up. I walk out there and calmly ask her "so ah why are you threating my dog?" She reply's "that f'n pit was coming thru the fence, teeth showin, he was gonna get me!" Which I replied "her name is Bella, and I know your full of sheet!" "You wanna know how I know your a liar?" " you see how both dogs are behind me roughly 4 feet from me you and this fence?" "Ya..." She says. " you see them boxes hanging off the dogs collars?" "Ya..." She says. "Well @ 4 feet they start to vibrate and beep... @ 2 feet it put a shock to them dogs that hurts like hell, I know cuz I tested it out myself!" "Now... You wanna tell me again about how my pit had her head and front legs thru the fence?" "Or shall we just skip to the part where I call you a dog hating abusive biatch?!"

We now have an agreement.... When she comes to feed her horse she need to honk if the dogs are out and we'll get them inside. The perception of these dog hurts me. The pit bull was bred with the instinct to always want to please its master. So if your intentions are for your dog to be mean... That's how its going to be. Bella's nickname is booboo... If I have to scold her she makes the sadest most butt hurt face you have ever seen, a booboo face.

My pit was easy to read....

Here you can see she doesn't really like this new puppy, 'cause it took her spot next to me, but she knew the puppy was mom's so she knew she had to be nice to it and you can see it in her face.
Here she is in her "place"...

                              I miss her lots.....
