72 will be our high today...last night it got down into the upper 30's...cold for this time of year for us...anything but the white stuff is fine with me...

Nuthin better than a winterbeater to drive around...down here it has been cool but were talking mid 60s to low 70s...perfect riding weather... In fact we're not even at peak colors for fall foliage yet...so happy to be outta Jersey

I would like to say I drive in all weather but truth is I don't anymore. Its not the snow Ice or rain. It is not even the chemical salt they put down now. It is the people in the large 4wheeler trucks that do not slow down. I do not want to be a speed bump. They hit the horn and just keep going passed you at red lights just speed on threw. Every now and then the police get one but these teens in 50,000 trucks are like a plague. Now call me chicken but that sharp angled snow blade and a fool behind the wheel reminds me of MadMax movies. Having narrowly escaped many accidents in life I sometimes feel like a cat that used life 9 now. Years ago it would get cold snow would pack and you could still get a grip. Now it mostly is like icy slush floating on a thin skim of oil. The advantage is here the snow does not stay on the roads long they clear them quick. The other issue here now is its deer season and Bambi don't think twice going across the road. They are called Bambi for a reason. Good luck all you white knuckled fans I just get in my little old junky truck with the lawyer card taped to the visor and stay toasty warm thinking how I will spend my money if that punk hits me.

Well Greg,I think OK has it fair share of nasty weather
When you are a driver you need to be a four season driver..some white knuckled days back then,fog was not nice either.

Still riding back and forth to work here. Mid 50's at 7 am, 60 to 80 on the ride home.

Never had that happen(luck) just the call that my fuel lines are frozen or I couldn't shift above fifth gear.
Just glad I am not a driver anymore.

BTW Stepped wolf the last time I drove on snow I put 100 grand worth of equipment out of a trailer into a Colorado snow bank. Hard call to make at midnight to the boss.

I guess I'm in the right part. Last snow or ice I've seen here was back in the 80s. Are salt trucks those rusted out things seen up north?

Aqua...on the train a few years back and the roads were closed or just about shut down thru AZ and TX due to ice.Snow you can drive thru but ice you might as well park it.Do you guys even know what a salt truck is?
