Try to remember your last visit to a church in the 70´s (if you have one down under?)

      Sounds like a katholic hymn?

      Amen!

        Hey Stava
Stick on the moccos, flanno, regrow the mullet, crack a few VBs and it will all come back. cant say i remember the song but then youre younger so my brain damage was more advanced. ARBD. LOL.
Not some group like Mississipi (pre LRB) or Russell Morris or something.
A lot of our stuff never went OS.
        Cheers

NEW RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE..... Hmmmmm Not a local band but damn if I can remember the name of any of their songs.

I guess I have waisted to many brain cells since the 70's.

Several bands like Ozark Mtn Daredevils had a band open for them that was actualy the BAND themseves. minus the big name persons. Maybe this was the case or they were 1 hit wonders.

Was it this song from the Blue Oyster Cult?

            Feeling easy on the outside
But not so funny on the inside
Feel the sound, pray for rain
For this is the night we ride

This ain't the garden of eden
            There ain't no angels above
And things ain't like what they used to be
And this ain't the summer of love

Lock all your doors from the outside
The key will dangle by the inside
            You may begin to understand
That this is the night we ride

This ain't the garden of eden
            There ain't no angels above
And things ain't like what they used to be
And this ain't the summer of love

On the night we ride...this ain't the summer of love.

This ain't the garden of eden
            There ain't no angels above
And things ain't like what they used to be
And this ain't the summer of love
This ain't the summer, this ain't, this ain't
This ain't the summer of love

              Hey Fella's,

GOOD NEWS....................we finally got our answer.
In OZ we have a club for the senior riders called "Ulysses" of which I am a member. (over 35,000 members.)
As the minimum joinup age is 40 years old, I thought that there had to be someone who could recall this song.
              And we hit the jackpot.

The song was by Buzz Cason, titled "Adam and Eve" and came out in 1966..........I must have been a bit younger then I thought.

So with this song echoing in my head I will point the shovel into the wind and run with it.

Again MANY thanks to all that participated in any way, really enjoyed some of the comments and views aired

              Stava.

                      G'day Scoobes!

The only band name that springs to mind at this moment is the Crickets!...this particular song played in 1966, not sure what band he was with at the time.
He was in that band at the time of one or more hits for them.
My brothers and I had some serious discussions in regards to this dude I can tell you!
We have now established that the ONLY place one may secure
a copy is from the UK!!!
It is available only on 45 rpm and is apparently not on any known albums!!!!

But at least some sleep can now be had as far as the name of singer and title of song.

                      Stava.
