I'm sure the HP is more on a XS, weight is probably more than a bike. I've seen a couple of these on I-5 in heavy traffic, and that didn't seem too smart I can't believe these would do well in a multi-vehicle sandwitch...

You'd be surprised how well that "tridion cell" that they're built around holds up to collisions...even head-on...

But I still wouldn't drive one.

...and in both cases the passenger cabin retains its size and shape. The dashboard doesn't come back and pin the passengers. Nobody gets crushed by an engine block sitting in their lap. And the Smart vs. the C-class is a HUGE mass imbalance...of COURSE the Smart is going to take the brunt of that hit.

Yaris vs. Camry. Watch how the drivers door, windshield, and A-pillar of the Yaris get shoved back into the driver. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHiYS...feature=relmfu

I'd take a Smart over a Bel Air in a frontal any day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPF4f...eature=related

                Hi Jason,
ask yourself, who would? A purchaser would need to be someone who:-
                Only ever carried one passenger.
Never bought more than 2 day's worth of groceries at one time.
Had a business that involved high mileage delivery of small packages.
                Or was a wealthy eco-freak.

Very true, Fred. And as cywelchjr pointed out, all of those (except the eco-freak) can be covered by a bike with big saddlebags, for a lot less money.

Which is why I find myself on an XS11 forum instead of a Smart car forum.
