    I've been getting this message a lot recently. 'Server not found'. Anyone else? Have only noticed it here at XS11.

      Yeah, the site crashes pretty regularly for me too. The only time it really irritates me is when I'm posting and I lose the post....

          Hasn't been an issue here............don't know whether Wi-Fi makes any difference.

                  It's almost always a DNS server failure at the hosting facility where the site is hosted. The almost 100% cure is to add the following line to your hosts file (for windows users)

                  64.119.182.118 www.xs11.com

                  you hosts file is normally contained in C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc and the filename is just hosts with no extension but you can edit it with notepad.

                  Since doing that, I have found that I almost never have this type of problem with the site anymore, where I used to have it fairly often. I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and IIRC it was 3phase who clued me in to using that technique to get around the problem with the site.

                  PS, you MIGHT have to change the rights on the folder in newer version of windows such as Vista or Windows 7 to give users edit rights to be able to do this.
