You know, I posted my question as a public service announcement to him as trying to help him. So if he cops an attitude, that's his problem not mine and means he's trying to be dishonest, cause otherwise he should understand that if he's not trying to rip anyone off that I/we are trying to save him trouble down the road.

I sent him a message last night also so that may have been a deciding factor. I also sent along a list of serial #s for all years XS and XJ and suggested he check the #s on the case against them.

Actually, I sent him the first three of the VIN for all years of XS and XJ 1100s before I posted this. He pulled the add not to long after I posted this on here, so I will give him credit that he took it seriously when I gave him hard facts and info to look at.

And no, I do not expect any thanks or acknowledgement, I quit holding my breath unless I am under water a looonng time ago.

Just glad to see no unsuspecting person, maybe one of our members will be buying that engine and get a bad surprise.

Well, the other parts are still up on there, and some of them are much harder to identify unless you know what your looking for. Things like that back wheel, the final drive etc. I'm beginning to think the guy really is trying to rip people off, he's selling enough legit XS11 stuff to be able to tell the difference when he sees it. Either that or he just plain doesn't care. Unfortunately I can't find a way to report the items for being marked as the wrong vehicle. Not sure how to report them to ebay but if I can find out how I will report every part from that bike.
