    Swirly wheels

If we're changing the subject maybe we should start a new "swirly wheels" thread? Or...is this an effort to continue "the thread that won't die"?

(I don't have swirly wheels, and I'm not sure if they reduce unsprung weight.)

IDK, Marty, could the swirly wheel guys be lighter in the loafers?

I've always wondered. In just what way are they special?

Then again, are the "standards" what everything else is held up against?

Of course another way to look at it is there is the Standard version...the ho-hum....nothing fancy version, "Used or accepted as normal or average" and then there is the Special version, "Better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual". I did not say it..Mr. Webster did!!

T.C., I thought that was the turbo guy that you mentioned twisted the drive shaft on his XS, that's why I put the link to the site along with the picture.

Randy, don't crinkle your crinolines. I'll have at least two tutus myself after the next 750/850 drive is set up and installed and have to ride my XS11 like a princess so I don't hurt its delicate widdle final dwive.

                      Jesus Christ Greg,

Can't you see he was making fun at HIMSELF, essentially saying he'll be wearing "tutus"...along the Swirly Wheels comments...because he now knows that he can't run his bike as hard/tough with the more delicate 750/850 FD, now knowing that it IS a bit more fragile than the OEM FD!?

                      Lighten up, geez!

Hey, Greg, good to see you, too! So how was your ride? Did you have fun; not to much sun or rain?

If I was fishin' surely I'd have tossed a swirly wheel back there somewhere next to the poodle skirts.

Ride was great. Enjoyed the cooler weather for a change. Glad the FD held up.

Maybe next year Arlan and Gary will find some good twisty roads like that that don't have gravel strewn in ALL the corners.
