There was some discussion on the site about the running of the XS11 engine over the red line. You should know that Ron Teson built a top fuel dragster with the XS engine and Jim Bernard rode it to a world record 7.57 second 183.67 MPH in the quarter mile.
The xs11 is lighter than most used in dragsters, a one peice crank and larger displacement than other engines use for dragsters along with strong stock valves etc. made it the best choice for a top fuel supercharged dragster.
