I have not found one yet where the third leg was a disable like the Yamaha flasher's third leg is. Yes, that is what the schematic shows, that third leg is a disable signal, which is all that the cancel unit does, send a 12v signal telling the flasher to stop. The relay shown in the circuit (as an alternate to the transistor and two resistors) reacts to that signal and opens the circuit stopping the signals.
The Yamaha flasher is actually functionally simpler than I had thought, it's really a two prong flasher with a disable pin. ELDR is making a unit to replace the entire unit, I'm thinking of a tech tip about how to mod the bike to use a normal 2 prong flasher and still retain the auto cancel, and yes, it's base on his schematic. I would have tried to figure this out, but I no longer had a stock flasher for either of my bikes, and I wasn't going to buy another one, but I'll buy a relay and put it in the circuit, like I said, I can see exactly how it would work.
