    Wow, I certainly found a good forum. haha

    The bike was running when I bought it. I actually rode it home from Oak harbor to issaquah, about 90 miles. It had been sitting for maybe a month or two, the previous owner used to commute with it.

    So what I'll do then is get a compression test to start with and go from there. I'm thinking I'm going to see if I can outsource the work for fear of screwing something up.

    crazy-steve. I'll keep that name in mind. Is he on this forum?

        See if you can find someone with a leak-down tester. This will give you a much more thorough diagnosis of your motor's health.
