I use a full face, and today was good example why. I rode to a rally yesterday in our South Island central districts, often called fruitlands (local slang), where there are lots of orchards, and lots of bees. Bees in an open face (3/4) helment hurt more from impact than they do from the sting.
Travelled home today (250 kms) in the pouring rain and smiled politely at the 'hard arse' bikers with their open face helmets and rags wrapped around their mouth. BTDT, not going back. Even seen one with without glasses or goggles on. Looked like a chinaman squinting at the sun.
