Gas has been as high as 127.2 a liter here in the Ottawa area by tend to be closer to 125.9 a liter day in and day out.
So now I don't buy gas, I just drive by the pump from time to time so I don't forget what it smells like.

Yes, 78-9 standards need heavier springs, specials and 80 standards need the air pressure a little bit higher. If your saying the bike can't handle the weight of the fairing, how would it handle the weight of a heavy rider? Yes, you need to make adjustments for weight added to the bike, even the manuals for Vetter's stuff state that, this can be done with pre-load, air adjustment etc, but it's not going to make the bike jump into another lane unless something is wrong with the bike, just not going to happen. Yes, it does make the bike less nimble, it make the bike into a touring machine, not into a sport machine.

B.C. was up to 126.9 a couple months ago... Me and wifey decided to make it back to Alberta to fill up, and for the first time I ever saw, it was cheaper in JASPER then somewere else.... Right now we are at about 125, and we pull the stuff out of the ground, process it, and sell it!

            Hi Lance,
exactly the same price in Saskatoon for all the big name gas stations. Even the Co-op but at least they give you a dividend and some indie stations do take 2 cents a litre off.
For our US neighbors, CDN$1.289 per litre = US$5.094 per US gallon.

The biggest problem in Canada IMHO is the tax...
We, the oil company pay royalties for a well being on a lease on private land, and weather it is on private land, or crown land, there are royalties on the downhole licence, and taxes to the municiple district.
For custody transfers, (don't quote me on this one) but I think there are tax's, and we transfer from a producing company to a midstream company to a downstream company, better known as a refinery were it is refined, and sent to gas stations were there is another ~42% tax ($0.30/$1) in a province with no provincial sales tax, and if you do have the provincial sales tax, it is another 5-9%...

And we can't get shoulders on Highway 40 from Grande Cache to Hinton...
