Don't I wish. Don't you know that humans are the only animal that isn't natural? Somehow we didn't come from nature (but they don't believe in God either so that doesn't make any logical sense either way).

It's because we are the only animal the modifies out environment, wait, beavers dam streams to create ponds/lakes for them to live in. That's just a single example. Others dig burrows etc. It's all bunk, all animals modify their environment to the extent they are capable of doing to make their life more comfortable and to make the surroundings more compatible with their life style.

We got several inches of wet snow on the first official day of spring but at least it was short lived after a few warmer and sunnier day. - 14 last night and the rest of the week is also on the cool side. I do hope that the end of this week will bring us to winters true end.

            Spring

I rode 70 miles on dry pavement yesterday for the first time since late last fall. Today was the best day so far, went around my Island in the sun. Still crisp though with a high of around 50F.
Will go back down the big island ( 70 miles ) tomorrow.
Victoria BC is to the left of Bellingham WA. It gets a bit warmer further up Vancouver Island when a southerly wind blows over the mountains on the Olympic Peninsula WA.

Today is spring but dunno about t'morrow!

Spring sprung in my corner of California. Fooled the daffodils into coming up then they were covered in more snow. Now another crop of daffs and continual rain and wind until today when it was sunny and sort of warm.

Have gotten a few rides in when there wasn't ice on the roads but with wet sand and drizzle not too much fun. Was gonna go out today but had some car trouble I had to check out.
                    Shiny side up,

                      Ok..I've had it !

The Gypsy is coming out of storage tomorrow.
It is supposed to be a degree or two above freezing and partial sun during the day for three days straight. I have always had my bike out by March, and I will be postponed by threats of snow any longer.
My new rule is the bike is out when the ice fishing huts come off the lake which is March 31st around here. I hope the new gear I picked up over the winter is up to the task.

80 Deg. here today. Had a friend up on the top of the Sierra's today and says there is at least 12' of Snow on the flat up at Kirkwood ski area. Just see the tops of the cabins. Something like the biggest snowpack in 50 years.

All we need now is a warm storm and we will be swimming here in 3 days!
