  • Has "spring" sprung in your area yet

Here we are, March 13, and there still about 2&1/2 feet of snow on the ground. Daytime temps for next week are to be above freezing most days but overnight temps are still below freezing. We seem to be at least a full 2 weeks behind where we would usually be. How are things coming along where you are?

    Sproinged here!

    Hey Rob,

Well, down here in VA it has started springing, the weeping willow tree is budding, the bartlett pear trees are blooming, and I've been able to be out and about without a jacket....60's temps. Hope you don't have to "chill out" much longer! :P

        Hi Rob,
here in Saskatchewan "spring" is a coiled metal thing.
The current season is "frozen burst water mains"
To be fair, April 1st last year saw my son & I out-pranking each other such that we both ended up plating our bikes.
This year the machines are still tarped down under the rear deck with 2 feet of snow in the yard.
The local TV weatherman has promised us above freezing temperatures this coming week.
I'll believe it when it happens.

Went for a 100mi round trip ride yesterday with a friend from work. Hit a few twisties on a some good roads out west of Katy, Sanfelipe, Bellville and Monaville. Stopped for lunch at the Thirsty Parrot Bar & Grill. Probably 40+ bikers there for lunch. Left at 9:45 and back at 1pm. A little windy but 75º and clear skies made for a real nice day to be out riding.

Spring had sprung a few weeks back here.

Here in Washington state spring is arriving... you can tell because the birds are starting to show back up. About the only other difference is the rain is now warmer...

                Hey Rob,

Here in the "heartland" of the midwest, Mother Nature is being her fickle self. One weekend we get 60s, next day 40s. Tuesday I was walking a roof top in shirt sleeves. Thursday I had an inch or two of snow on the car in the AM and it was gone by the afternoon.

Yesterday I got the bike back together after going back into the tranny and installing an HID headlight. Got it out for a couple short rides. Today it would require wrapping up like a Christmas present to ride. And yet, 65 on Wednesday is the prediction.

As the old saying goes, welcome to Cincinnati, don;t like the weather, wait a half hour, it'll change!

                    Spring is near

I rode to work twice this last week. Morning temps just below freezing, but afternoons have been great. Pasque flowers are blooming, snow is gone for now, but its only mid-March, so I expect to see more yet before spring really arrives. In the mean time, I'm riding as much as I can...gas is up to about $3.60 a gallon for regular.

                      Michigan is looking normal.

Typical day here in lower central Michigan.....overcast because of clouds from Lake Michigan.....not much snow left, 34 degrees today.
I fixed a couple of bird feeders and a whirligig, 'cause they needed it. and then I removed my sidecar so that I can get on to the project of replacing the fork seals. I know us northerners are jealous of that great Texas weather....

We have entered the snow, rain, fload, season here in Pa. In the last month I've watched all the snow get washed away by rain...twice, only to be replaced by about a foot of snow the next day. Then more rain. The bridge at the end of Broad st was under water on Friday, but I think we are in the clear with temps in the 50's and 60's on the way. It will be 90 and hot in no time.
