SWMBO went for a short walk last night around 5 PM and just a few minutes later she called and was crying and something about falling down. So I rushed to where she was and she had a 1" gash over her right eye and a bump on her forehead. Off to the ER. First one had almost no business and no one at the window, but I could see some guy cutting a pumpkin in a side room. I tapped on the window until a girl came to it and I asked if anyone was doing triage and if they were excepting patients. She told me in a nasty way there was others ahead of me. I told her I saw the pumpking ahead of us and we left.
Next ER was quick to get us filling out paperwork and then the waiting began. Much busier than the other place, but names were being called and patients began to go inside. 2 hours 30 minutes later we were called and inside we waited another 45 mins before anyone came by to see us. He said he was gonna send her for a cat scan and left. We were ushered out to the waiting room again. Meanwhile she decided not to have the cat scan done because of the exposure by that kind of thing and when they finally came to get her for the scan she said she didn't want one so, wait more. About an hour later she was called back to the ER area and about 30 mins later the Dr. came by again and said he was gonna get another Dr. to sew her up. And he asked her what I hit here with while looking sideways at me. He asked me to go to the waiting room so he could talk with her and she said "he didn't hit me, I fell" and he said "OK, but I still want to talk to you about it". She told him to buzz off. He got a little huffy and left. Well, you know what that did to the wait time. Just a little more than an hour the other Dr. came by to put in the stitches.
About an hour later, came the tetnus shot and we could leave. Got home around 11 PM really expecting to have the cops come visit us.

) where I slept for an hour or so while they processed the scan and some lady took my insurance info and such. I was in treated and out in about 3 hours total. Got out just in time to go to work.
