I have purchased yet anouther xs1100. It is a 1980 version with the Trans Canada Pkg . The bike has 60000 KM on the dial and was a daily runner up until last year. She looks to be complete but we'll see.

Thanks Rob I'm glad you bought it . I was eying that one for a while and was having a hard time resisting not buying it. Maximphil would have been jealous too haha!

The one behind the 11 may be a 750. The pic is not very clear but it looks like only 3 headers on it.

Looking at the engine markins and such I'd say an 850, but I do see now only three headers. Still, just cause its a runt of the litter...

Nice find there. Looks to be a Special, with the touring pack and mirrors more normally found on a Standard. Need a better photo of the seat too - something looks different there.

Yes she does look like a special model. This will be my first special model and first full dresser. I'm not to worried about the seat. i have a new king / queen seat that I ended up not installing on my restored bike when I found a NOS seat. That seat also would be out of place on my modified bike. I'm looking forward to picking this bike up and giving her to once over. The lad says she is plated and runs so that's a bonus! She was used daily just last year.

It must be contagious! Very nice find though. Interesting to see that set of fairing/luggage on a Special though. I wonder what modifications were made to get it to fit.

I just got back from picking up the bike and unloading her. The Yamaha Gods must have been watching over me. I discovered when I got home that the rear tire had gone from somewhat flat to fully flat. That of course meant that the tie downs were VERY loose. The bike however stayed put. I didn't even notice. WOW what a job getting her backed off my truck alone.
Anyway. The bike is not as clean as was seen in the OUTDATED photos but she did fire right up. I can tell right away that she needs a valve adjustment, cam chain adjustment and a carb cleaning and general tune up.
She came with a trunk as well that was not on the bike in the photos. She needs work but she is a runner.

The one in the background was a 750 according to the lad and it is long gone. I really don't know how old the photos are.
