Careful, you will get banned for bringing up topics like that!
Nah, We'll just make him fix our carbs for free!!
It's been HOT here as well. I commute over a 1,800' pass every day, and when I left home this morning it was 65F. Top of the pass was 90F!, and back down to 72F in the Silicon Valley. This was between 6:15am and 7:00am, so we WILL be HOT today! And yes, that IS an inversion layer causing the difference in temps.

A few summers ago we had a double handfull of days in June and July that were hotternell (100F+) and the "experts" were warning us it was a sign of global warming.

Back in the 70's as a Forestry major in skool. We studied the dendochronology of the Redwood trees that were felled in the Big Trees Park area back in the 1800's.
About 200 years earlier (from 1974) there was evidence of a severe 40 year dought in this area.

Wonder what could have caused that??? Besisde a lack af rain.

I don't know, what I don't get is that if it gets really hot it's a sign of global warming, if it doesn't get as hot as normal it's a sign, if it rains too much it's a sign, if it doesn't rain enough it's a sign. Of course it's a sign of something, but I just think that everything that happens is used as a sign of the looming problem of the day.

              October already

For what it is worth my older brother says they don't have any scientific proof that there is global warming, but he is just a barber and he gets all of the latest and greatest news and gossip and all of the things people talk about. I do know that the wife and I went to the Covered Bridge festival yesterday and we didn't ride the bike because she was to cold. And I finally got my parts to fix the brakes so that we could ride and now its to cold. I do know that when Jesus comes and this earth will be no more I'm waiting for Him and will glad to see Him. Have great day and ride as if it is your last ride. DLT

I don't what to turn this thread into a "global warming debate" so I will keep it short. I do believe that global weather change is happening, I just don't think that it's being driven by mans activities.
Here in Canada, were still waiting for it to get WARMER LOL

I agree. I just made my comment because I can remember being told in the 60's that we were going into an ice age.
