Ok, I have it pretty well mocked up, I still have rearsets and an oil cooler but I think I will hold off on the rearsets until I'm sure the bars will stay low. Now I have to do the work and about a millon hours of detailing. What do ya think? no bad dog or rabbit ear comments please.

Well, I like it! I think it looks big and bad, but it's still got the XS11 look at the same time. As it IS your bike, do as YOU feel like!

The only problem I have with the no front fender look is thinking about all the crap that will get thrown onto the front of the pristine engine by the bare front tire. When I look at what the underside of my front fenders look like after a ride, I think about that stuff hitting the front of the engine and maybe even me.

Other than that I have to say I like the look..

I like it also. Best thing about it is that it's your bike and you can do what the hell you want with it!!!

The seat is from an 883 sportster. It doesn't fit right even after cutting the "hump" out of the front.

The ones with the wide front work better or the dyna solo worked really well. As it stands now I've tried 4 seats for this bike and I'm not really happy with any of them.
This is the dyna solo seat from the other black bobber.

                      xs11lover,

Tell us how you connected the MSD ignition, does it use the original pickups / coils/ etc?

Thats what I was wondering, I see a MSD ignition unit down there, I was wondering why... does it offer any benefit?

That seat complaments the the bike very well, I really like the entire setup. I think that bike would be a show stopper if the front of the seat blended in with the frame/tank a little better. The back half looks like it was meant to be there. You could probably cut and toss the front half of the seat pan and weld on a custom section thats wider and hides the frame rails a little better. Take a few inches of foam out off the top front to blend it in with the shape of the tank and add some foam to the sides to widen it out. With s new cover to accomidate the new geometry you would have a seat that is litterally made for the bike. Regardless, I already consider it to be a trophy bike so you get an A+ in my book.

                            Hi 'lover,
overall, it looks great. Except that the missing front & truncated rear fenders make it a "dry day only" ride.
And besides, where you gonna put the plate? Sideways on the left pillion peg? I've always thought that looked like a desperate afterthought.
Nah, put the fenders back where they used to be and use the illuminated plate mount from an '80 Special.
About the rear light that ain't there yet in the mockup photos, try this:-
Swap red lenses into the rear signal lights and rig them as stop/signal/running lights with a 6 light to 4 light trailer light conversion module; ~$18 from NAPA.
