I've put some videos on the "Tube". (User hwugh1) Some "informational/educational" and some of just riding the bike. Also have some on photobucket as user "barelybipedal".

I liked the videos from XS11.com member knybanjo:
            http://www.xs11.com/forum/showpost.p...33&postcount=7

There's been quite a few good videos of owners doing things like customizing/cutting down their windshields, setting up/testing fuel injection systems, hooking up vacuum gauges to their carbs or vacuum advance units, etc.

As long as the vid has something to do with an XS1100 I'll click on it. (Can't resist the compulsion I guess...)

Don't just go to YouTube. I googled xs11 and found several I hadn't seen before (google video? maybe). There is a series of riding vids by the same person on different twisty roads from a couple years ago. Whoever it is must go through lots pegs. Is it anyone on here?

                    First XS1100 in 3D Video???

I really liked the movie "GroundHog Day" with Bill Murray. Here's my version on an XS1100 Special:

                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NVbOxzJ51Q

I actually went around that sweeper quite a few times cause I had the camera on different mounts on the bike. Just part of getting what I needed to edit it all together for the "Total" XS experience.

                    More to come...

Thanks Steppenwolf! That "Vintage" video is one of my favorites. I really like the way that it has lots of different angles/views. Currently I'm working on a sort of "updated" version. Not a true COPY but rather an homage to that original one.

I didn't know that DGXSER made more than the video of him starting Banshee. Makes me wonder where he put the camera in order to eliminate the vibration. He didn't just drive one-handed, did he???

Got the latest 3D version of my XS "in the can" just a few days ago. Then I reviewed the clips and found out that the video is practically unwatchable cause the cameras vibrate. Makes the video "wavy" and jumpy when the engine is running. (Why make a video of an XS without the engine running, right???)

Today I'll see if there's anything salvage-able in the footage and then take a stab at putting something together.

Next: Redesign the camera plate/mounts to eliminate the vibration/flexing and then do a re-shoot. Great way to spend an afternoon IMO....

                            First Public XS1100 3D Videos.

Ok...So I went ahead and pieced together the stuff I got last week.

Both videos are in 3D so if you wanna know how to "see" them in 3D then I'd say TC had a very good way of explaining it and how to do it:

                            http://www.xs11.com/forum/showpost.p...3&postcount=18

                            Here's part 1:

                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xypyt...eature=related

                            Here's part 2:

                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ331fBTBSU

                            Two observations of mine:

1.) That's the way my bike sounds at idle. A little too low right at the moment. Thing is that while it may sound like it's stumbling and ready to fall on its face, I figure that's just the way it sounds without that OEM system with the cross-over pipe. I mean it ran smooth as silk and then I just swapped the OEM exhaust with the one you hear on the video. Carbs are synched. I could swap the exhaust back again, make no other changes, and it would sound like a swiss watch. Just sayin' that those engineers knew what they were doing when they hid a HEMI (Imagine an old SuperBee idling at the stoplight next to you...) in plain sight.

2.) The take-off from a full stop is intentionally wimpy. The bike doesn't bog whatsoever. YouTube and the "public domain" is not the place to put a video of burnouts, drifting, high speed, reckless driving, or other prosecutable shenanigans done on a public roadway. (Translation: I like my motorcycle license endorsement and take the steps to keep it.)

                              90 Degree Twist...

Just another ride on my bike while there's sunshine and tee-shirt temps here in the Pacific Northwest:

                              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoKnXsPYvbo

The Picture in Picture feature lets you the viewer and me see what "scenic wonders" I'm driving past. I mean that when I'm riding my focus of attention is staying between the lines and watching for traffic. Really not the place or time to let my mind wander or attention drift, right?

Moved the digital audio recorder forward to get more sound coming from the engine rather than the sound coming from the mufflers. Truly sounds more like it does to my ears as I zoot along the roadways.....
