Lost one here a couple weeks ago. Car coming the opposite direction tried to pass another car resulting in a head-on collision with the motorcyclist. The only reason he was out that night was that he was escorting a new biker home to make sure she made it safely.
Generally, I'm a big proponent for ATGATT, but since it's been 40 C+ (104 F+) this week, I've been down to a full face helmet with gloves and only a t-shirt instead of the armor. I'm going shopping tonight hoping to get one of those mesh jackets.
