I don't know if this has been here before. Looks cool, but a bit pricey.

I actually have one similar. I paid less than $20.00 for it about 15 years ago. It's been in my entertainment center since I bought it.
I was walking through some store SWMBO just had to "check out" and it was on a top self. All I saw was "Yamaha 1100" on the side of the box. I guess it wasn't such a bad store after all.Rob

Wow! What's wierd is that there are mods done to the model, as though it had been ridden.
Windshield added, rear turn signals moved back to the license plate and painted clutch adjustment cover and airbox. Also has no kick-start post, slotted brake rotors and seat of an '80-'81 Special, but rear fender and exhaust of an earlier model.1980 XS850SG - Sold
1981 XS1100LH Midnight Special (Sold) - purchased 9/29/08
Fully Vetterized and Dynojet Kit added, Heated Grips, Truck-Lite LED headlight, Accel Coils, Irridium plugs, TKAT Fork Brace, XS850LH Final Drive & Black SS Brake lines from Chacal.
Here's my web page devoted to my bike! XS/XJ User's Manuals there, and the XJ1100 Service Manual and both XS1100 Service manuals (free download!).

As a model builder in my spare time, Tamiya kits are god-awful expensive as it is. Add to that the fact it's a pretty large model, import fees (from Japan), and the general cost of kits rising anyway, sadly the $250 makes a bit of "sense".
Still, if I had that much to spend, I'd just start looking for the real thing!Currently XS-less.Comment
