I don't know if this has been here before. Looks cool, but a bit pricey.

1/6th scale is going to be fairly large, probably about a foot long?

I think 110 British pounds is around $250 dollars isn't it? If so it si pertty expensive.

I actually have one similar. I paid less than $20.00 for it about 15 years ago. It's been in my entertainment center since I bought it.

I was walking through some store SWMBO just had to "check out" and it was on a top self. All I saw was "Yamaha 1100" on the side of the box. I guess it wasn't such a bad store after all.

Wow! What's wierd is that there are mods done to the model, as though it had been ridden.

Windshield added, rear turn signals moved back to the license plate and painted clutch adjustment cover and airbox. Also has no kick-start post, slotted brake rotors and seat of an '80-'81 Special, but rear fender and exhaust of an earlier model.

Not only do they get actual bikes, but for the same amount of time and supplies required to put the model together, they could get the $250 bike working!

As a model builder in my spare time, Tamiya kits are god-awful expensive as it is. Add to that the fact it's a pretty large model, import fees (from Japan), and the general cost of kits rising anyway, sadly the $250 makes a bit of "sense".

Still, if I had that much to spend, I'd just start looking for the real thing!
