That's why I didn't put them in my poll, the 78-9's were covered and I figured the XJ's rated their own poll.
(that's my story and I'm sticking to it.)Cy

I voted that mine is non-spec - less than good, only because there wasn't a "good" category. I got it missing most of the air box, it has some wiring issues, the gauges aren't all that good and it really needs paint and polish. Wait, I guess that would put it in the "less than good" category. Hopefully I can get some time to polish and paint it a bit as that is the majority of the issues. If I could figure an alternative for the tach and speedo for cheap, I'd ditch the factory uglies.
There is a possibility that I am being to harsh on my judgment of her, but I love her none the less.K. Johnson

triple clean and boots
-1982 XJ1100J - brought back from the dead by
replacing motor after throwing #4 rod

$500 including new rear tire.

I agree with K.Johnson. You should have had a good catagory. I would have rated mine a little higher but still havent gotten around to the 1st gear fix, so it's only a 4-speedCurrent Rides: '82 XJ w/Jardine 4-1's, GIVI flyscreen, '97 Triumph Trophy 1200

Hey Johnson and Barberad,
Your VOTES have been adjusted accordingly with the Editted poll results!
T.C.
PS, BNE/MadMax, could you explain what you mean by Non-Spec vs. A-Spec,
As in fully up to specifications or what??T. C. Gresham

Well TC I basically copied this language from the other polls. I am assuming Spec. to mean a bike that is stock... as it came from the factory with the exception of normal wear and tear items like tires... So if you have out on pod filters and rejetted the carbs but otherwise your bike s stock...it has been modified thus is Non Spec. BTw Thanks for the help on the poll...Last edited by madmax-im; 03-14-2010, 07:44 PM.1980 XS650G Special-Two

There is no "My Bike Is An Abomination" category...
82 XJ11..... PO was a tool... spray painted with flat black the fenders, tank, and exaust... fenders chipping, and chrome is shining through... tank is fading and running... and exaust is bubbled, and chipped.... also he laid it down at 80km/h... drunk... without a liscence... on gravelThere are only two types of bikers...
those that have layed it down, and
those that have not layed it down...YET!

Not going to lie, Brand new at this... thanks for having a bit of patience with dumb questions
