      "Ditto"... I received the same email... fortunately, it looked far too suspicious too be taken as legitimate, that plus the fact that while I've been monitoring this site, I have not been active with posting's.

      Never-the-less, getting private messages from an unknown sender advising me that my computer is infected, is nothing less than fantasy from a fanatical. Thankfully he's been eliminated, unfortunately, it's not in the true sense.

        private parts

        I got this same thing from a few other sites. I would REALLY love to infect his private parts with my former field-goal kicking foot. What will happen if you open one of these free scanning sites is that after about a week, you will get a flashing page that will only open a page to buy their product to remove all the viruses they put on your computer, for 79, 89, or 99 dollars. Then next month, that flashing page will come right back. A friend downloaded regcure, and this happened to him. I looked at his window, and there was a link to microsoft in the lower left corner. I clicked it, and opened a page with several cures for this. I tried them until I found one that deleted whatever regcure put in there. Then downloaded windows defender from microsoft (free) and his computer has been working for a few months now. All those free scans will do is install what they say they will eliminate, get you paying their fee every month, or buying a new hard drive and OS. If this hapens to you, report them to some legal agency that deals with internet fraud. Enough complaints, and they will take action.
