  • new guy in MN

Not new to Yammi's, had a venture for about a decade in the 90's. Picked up a couple new "projects" yesterday. '78 1100 & '82 550 maxim. The 82 will be on the road first as a tooling around bike, just needs the font end put back together and carbs cleaned (I hope). 1100 is going to be a little more work, frame is basically stripped motor is in pieces and in boxes. First step will probably be getting the motor back together, if I can get that to a running condition I am going to explore the chopper/bobber look for the bike. I love the examples I've found already.

          Sweet!

If you're gonna tackle the task of saving the bike from ending up in the smelter then IMO you've earned the right to make it as you see fit.

I look at it as the bike being re-incarnated: a second life. Bobbing from tavern to tavern ain't all that bad when compared to the foundry fires.

          Best Regards.

With a handle like unclefester you prob'ly will be showing us a few new electrical mods, eh?
