hey all --
was out of the loop for some time due to comcast server issues in my locale, but so glad to be able to get on the site again.
then my faulty eating and exercise habits of a lifetime caught up with me and went in for triple bypass/stinting on Jan 13th. Ended up staying for 12 days, which is not the norm; everything they did for me had to be custom due to my "unique" response to what are normally pretty routine procedures in a world class cardiac center. very lucky to be living in Olympia, Wa. when this problems arose; rock star surgeons and one of the top ten cardiac facilities in the country.
anyway, I won't be riding my new XS1100 kinda bobber, kinda cafe project for three months ... takes that long before the breast bone is securely healed etc.
in the meantime, I would like to know where to find pics of other members bikes to oggle (sp:?) for entertainment and inspiration.
thanks for any assistance.
also, gratuitous geezer advice: to any of you younger folks; the damned cheeseburgers etc. simply aren't worth it! chew, chew, chew, low fat, no salt added. try to learn to see food as nourishment and use only the healthy stuff; it's not really entertainment and your bipedal machine will let you do the really worthwhile funstuff ... riding motorcycles, for instance, for a very long time if you just don't abuse early in life. exercise is also good! if you're not into the gym thing, walk, ride a bike, swim etc. life is a very beautiful thing and becomes more so as there's less of it in front of you to enjoy. don't cheat yourself. okay, enough.
be well and happy trails
