Below is a "StereoGram" which we'll call a 3D picture for now. I've heard a lot of different ways to SEE 3D pictures but so far the best how-to came from a member here, TopCatGr58:
"Hey Larry, as for teaching folks, the idea is truly getting the eyes to CROSS inwards, then relaxing enough to allow them to slowly merge back together just enough to make the 3rd image in the middle which WILL BE in true 3D type view. "
So here's the 3D picture:
I chose the above image because it was something familiar, recognizable, and to some degree had appeal: Easy on the eyes and as easy to do as possible. If you could see the young lady in "3D" then vote Yes. Otherwise vote No. It's just that simple.
My goal at this point is to find out whether the members who can see "3D" are the majority or the minority here on the site. Depending on the outcome of this poll I will either place the 3D pics inside the main body of my posts or I will put a regular photo in and then include an external link to the 3D version.
For right now I'll give an example of the types of photos you'd likely see. TC made mention of how in order to see the 3D effect, our eyes had to Fuse the two pictures into one. So here's A pic of a fuseBox:
Followed by a closer look at where the fuses are:
And lastly a close up and personal look at the fuses:
(D'ya think I'm gonna be having trouble with my headlight in the near future??)
Thank you for taking the time to participate. That's the way a democracy works: satisfy as many of the members as possible while frustrating the least number of people. Your vote does count in this instance. (Not like when every two years we vote to replace the legislators who disappointed us with other legislators who have yet to disappoint us...)
