Yes, but even if it turned the other way, it would still be "clockwise" since the device in question is the definition of the term.

I can out-nitpick you even when I'm sober.
"Clockwise" means "turns the same way as a clock"
Clocks were made to copy the direction of rotation that a sundial has in the northern hemisphere. Also why most threads are "righty-tighty" and when draftsmen specify a left hand thread it's written "LEFT-HAND thread." If I were drunk at the moment I would end this with "yah-nyah-nyah-nah" but instead, I wish you a prosperous new year.
