Harley riders or harley owners
[QUOTE=GNEPIG;245270]Once in awhile I get the "Hey, I had one of those once, cool bike!" from a Harley guy, it is a cool feeling.
I have had the honor of riding with Brent also= super cool Dude! Congrats on your new Buell...
Thank you very much. Seems like the power & handling of the Buell 1125R are going to be good. All sport & no tour though...yet. Daughter said "Where are the saddlebags & luggage rack?" Wife says it is a "cute little bike". Not much in fenders or windshield. (Second day I rode it home from work in a light rain.) I can make it usable for touring easier than I can make my Road king go fast & handle...
I have met many riders on different makes who were friendly and accepted riders of any make. Trailering, poser, pretenders, "owners" were sometimes less gracious. Member of the BMW riders association thought my Harley could go Fast. Smooth power delivery and traction over cold wet tar snakes was the limiting factor on that ride rather than horse power. I have heard that some in the BMW owners group are snooty, but on the road I have not had much grief from them. However, One I met near Denver did not seem to like Harleys at all. Try as I might, I was unable to befriend him. Even after I extolled the virtues, values, & discount for the Peace Officer Special Edition Harley, he gave me a ticket and rode away on his beloved BMW.
