The problem with Harley is it ruins a lot of otherwise decent people. Very few of them rise above the "image" and retain their humanity. The fact that jmnjrpa saw an entire group of them acting nicely is indicative that they must have all been on acid, and thought he was riding a "magic buss".

Once in awhile I get the "Hey, I had one of those once, cool bike!" from a Harley guy, it is a cool feeling.
I have had the honor of riding with Brent also= super cool Dude! Congrats on your new Buell...
Florida sucks too, but at least you can ride all year. Around here most of the real snobby weenies ride BMWs and Ducati's. We have the over priced chopper crowd too, you know the ones that won't ever wave back, the throttle jocky hey look at me guys. But I don't ever pay any attention to them. I do look at the BMWs and Duc's as some of those do look pretty cool.

To me, it seems like mostly the weekend riders who have the nice shiny new harleys are the ones with the most attitude... The guys who have been riding a while seem to appreciate our bikes a lot more...
I've had a few come up to me and say positive things about my bike... and the comment I get most frequently is, "Man! I've lost a lot of races to those things."

Actually Kat the first comment was intended to be a compliment...as in maybe not the bike they liked so much as the rider...
The second was referring to a certain school event I recall over the summer where a school bus was apparently moving to slow for someone and then Mr. LEO got to show the kids what happens when you break the law as the bus passed said someone having a "conversation" with Mr. LEO....
