    well, that would be the third topic on that issue then
    The mod should be able to fix this then and change it into one topic...

    I myself do not have an opinion on this, still in doubt. Fact is that I know from the Kawasaki KZ1300 club that most of these owners have converted to ZZR1100 (ZX11 in your country) auto adjusters. I also know from rebuilding V-Max engines that these adjusters need a very big push when mounting them, suggesting the force generated is definitely larger than the one in the XS1100.

    Anyway it was suggested that when in doubt, keep it stock:
    " I don't see the point of changing something that works perfectly and has a proven track record for something that could cause more wear. Having said that it does look a nice bit of kit and if you feel you have to do the mod, as Irish says, reprofile the end of the plunger, and then keep an eye on the wear. This will probably mean taking the end cap off and measuring how far the plunger has travelled every 1000 miles .....come to think of it the original set up is less labour intensive"
    At least until someone proves it can be done without problems..
